I went to Buttermilk a few months ago myself. It was pretty cool to read about the history of it!
I was working on Washington Avenue in Pleasantville, and the property gave ties to the station. IIRC, they were all around 14 or 16,000 feet which struck me as quite the tie distance for the 1950's.
