I'm new to this forum and have a question about updating my TSC2 Survey Pro. The title pretty much says it all. Main question is what is the newest version and can I update to it from 4.5.3 and how?

Contact a Spectra Precision or Trimble dealer. To upgrade, you purchase Software Maintenance. This will allow you to upgrade to the now current version of Survey Pro and entitle you to any new version that comes out in the next 12 calendar months.
Your dealer will need the hardware serial number (the license is tied to the hardware)
List price for the "Cadillac" version is $380
Normally 4.5.3 units (if that is the initial software) can be upgraded to 4.7 I think. The Windows version was older and couldn't run the version 5.xx I believe. I will double check in the morning. It is $380.00 though.
I have one running 5.1 or 5.2 (can't remember and I loaned it out to a guy), but the touch screen buttons are a bit jankey. Gives me fits, but it works. What ever version it is, it is the last version that supports the Trimble 4700 & 4800's and the first version that supports the Topcon GR5's. If you have older equipment, you better make sure whatever version you install is going to support them.
I would like to move my TDS Survey Pro, from one TSC2 collector to another TSC2.
I have version 4.1.5, Standard, Pro, Robotics, and Trimble System Registered Modules.
I have screen failure and other problems on the collector it is on.
Is this possible? Is there a fee?

It is not possible to move the software from one collector to another with Trimble/Spectra Precision. They do have a trade-in program though for that reason, which works out to be about the same cost. You trade in your current collector and you get another one for a certain amount with the new Survey Pro Software and Warranty. Any Spectra dealer can do this. Let me know if I can help.
