Hello,

Trying to help out a friend, He is using Trimble Survey Controller software (S3 total station).

Can Trimble raw total station data (rounds of observations) be imported into the Survnet adjustment software? If so, which file format/extension is accepted by the program? *.DC? *.Job, etc.

He sent me a report (*.htm) with all observations, but that's not usable. Would require hours of processing to turn this into a usable file. There has to be a simple way to bring a total station file from a major manufacturer into the program.

Thanks,

Georges

If I remember correctly, Survnet is the least square adjustment software in Carlson. If not, disregard. If so, try opening the raw file editor in Carlson, clicking on File/Import/Trimble and import the .dc file. Then save it as a .rw5 to be used in Survnet.

You can process a Trimble .dc file with the Edit-Process Raw Data File command under Survey menu. If you have adjustments that needs to be made, you can save the file as a Carlson or C&G raw file and open SurvNET from inside of the Edit-Process Raw Data File window.

Trimble also has a style sheet for the TSC2 that will export a TDS .rw5 file straight out of the collector.
