We are using the Trimble S6 Robot using the TSC2 collector.
We are running Autocadd 2009 in the office(we have not made a just to anything newer just yet).
The issue we are having is downloading the data to a usable state.
We typically convert raw data to a FBK file.
We were told in the past to download and convert the JOB file trough C3D 2014 and it would be fine.
We have been experiencing an issue of the prism constant being added twice to each shot once we have converted to a FBK file.
We took a look at the collector and found that we can export the JOB to a FBK in the collector and then download and all is good. Almost.
A few of the projects crash during the conversion from JOB to FBK and we have to resort going back to C3D 2014 to convert.
I am hoping that someone out there has had similar issues and has been able to find the correct solution.
We have contacted our Trimble support and have gotten mixed messages.
One is that we need "sheet styles" for the collector.
The other is to upgrade, which is still an option but I don't want to have this issue once we upgrade.
We are looking at a whole new robotic setup(that's a different thought).
Any help would be appreciated.

The converter on the collector can only handle smaller sized job files. I don't remember what the upper limit is, but once your job file gets too large, it will crash. You can download the ASCII File Generator from Trimble's website to convert *.job files into other formats, and it can handle any file size. It uses the same style sheets that are on the collector as well.
I dont know if it will for 2009, but I use Trimble Link with Civil 3D.
Thank you for the replies.
We use Trimble Link in C3D but that is where the issue arises with the prism constant being added twice.
Very frustrating.
Still working with support.

I presume that by "Autocadd 2009" you mean LDT2009. FBK wouldn't do you any good otherwise.
C3d has a set of problems of its own but one of the major advantages is that you don't have to use fbk files anymore. It's a big upgrade in F2F capability in other ways, too. You are going to have to make the change someday so why not now?
