What does the autologous feature do? Will a 5600 track a non-active prism through a passive means?

I meant AUTOLOCK. 🙂
A 5600 will not track a passive prism. You would want to turn Autolock off if you were going to manually measure a passive prism to prevent the gun from searching for the RMT.
OK - I see. Thanks for the info.
So what is the gun centering on horiz & vert?

With Autolock on and the RMT blinking away it will track for both H & V. I have an RMT 602 with an external battery pack I made up. It does a nice job of tracking the pole/glass. Not as nice as the S6 glass but still does a good job. Beats trying to dial in the H/V all the time.
The RMT emits a signal from the diode(s) that is received by the tracker in the instrument. The software knows where the center of the glass (reflector) is in relation to the diode signal....
Thx - diodes control horiz as well as vert
Yes diodes control both. The vertical offsets between the center of glass and diode vs. tracker and objective are the same.
