Confession time. Once upon a time I surveyed something like Lots 13 and 14 in Block 109. Then I happened to notice that both the street address and the description matched Lots 13 and 14 in Block 108, precisely one block to the west of Block 109. Somebody is gonna find some very nice bars someday where they aren't expected but precisely where they should be.
Twice I have send out crews with a lat and long of a beginning monument and instructions as to the basic start there and traverse west with other basic geographic topo maps to guide their way.
Twice did the different crews begin at the correct monument and went in the wrong direction and surveyed a somewhat similar property east of our project tract.
Each time it was a survey near 300ac of land.
Still waiting the day those owners call and need a survey so I can profit from wrong way PCs.
