A large acreage tract was sold by limited warranty deed that contains 30 or so descriptions of all the parcels that make up the whole. One of them describes 150 acres and "excludes that portion South of smith road" but gives no area for the excluded portion. A couple pages later that 150 acres is described again exactly as it was the first time except it "excludes that portion North of smith road" and still gives no area of the excluded portion. My theory is that the 150 acre tract was counted twice with no stated area of the excluded portions to subtract from the whole. There apparently are more surprises hiding within the deed as I still can't get the acreage of all the pieces to add up to the lawyer's "total" that is stated in the deed.?ÿ
Lawyers have no business doing our work. But, most politicians are lawyers, so they get to pick and choose what they can do PER THE LAW.
Apparently the voters in this country trust lawyers more than surveyors. We need to work on our image. Lol
