I was out surveying the other day and I noticed a guy sorta standing in the bushes nearby spying on the survey crew. I circled around, walked up on him and saw that he had a Ipad with our website pulled up on the screen.

Times they are changin....

Times will revert once solar flares erupt and disrupt everything. Back to horse and carriage days!

On a serious note, I would like to have one just so I could reference plats in the field instead of carrying rolls of paper. PDFs instead of paper would be nice.

The EMP (electromagnetic pulse) from the Sun will be a mere pin prick compared to a Gama Ray Burst from a Supernova nearby. There are a few huge stars in the Galaxy that could Supernova and the Gama Ray Burst will be very bad, possibly kill everything and the atmosphere too.

It's set to deploy automatically should the electromagnetic radiation increase significantly.

Given the receding line their will not be much that will be required to be protected?

The radiation could be confused as it wastes time and energy locating target...
