My dad and my co-worker surveyed the world's longest candy necklace back in 2010. I just saw the project folder again when I was filing some other documents. When the guy that built it was interviewed, he remarked that he didn't know why the survey was taking so long. They measured along the necklace and recorded every sag, crest and arc as best they could. The final official measurement was 1,141.22 meters.
Anyway, here are a couple of links to the flickr page and an article.
What kind of GPS do you have there that has an accuracy of 5 thousandths?
That is one steady rodman.
What did they do with all the candy?

Haters are gonna hate aren't they?! All kidding aside, it is a special GPS that no one else has or can ever have. That's a special rodman too (mlbtruth on this forum). We picked him up from the state school house -- steady as a rock when he isn't muttering to himself and walking in circles.
Maybe mlbtruth can shed some light on what they did with the candy!
Yes, of course.
You'll be glad to hear that all candy was generously donated to the local Organization for Critical Diabetes Association Place. The bad news is they didn't seem to like "grape flavoring". Who Knew?
