I do need to go back and set three bars.?ÿ Going to do my best to be in stealth mode.
Had calls from both the client and Mr. Nosey today.?ÿ I'm gonna shoot whomever gave him my phone number.
Boy, oh boy, am I glad I don't live in that neighborhood.?ÿ There are now T-posts with No Trespassing signs at the two pipes that adjoin the Nosey tract with brightly colored tape reminiscent of crime scene markings to keep people from crossing a certain line.?ÿ To ensure Mr. Nosey does not mess with the posts and tape there are trail cameras set up covering the area.?ÿ Mr. Nosey has already contacted various officials to have the cameras removed and the client laughed telling me Mr. Nosey told him he was going to have him arrested.?ÿ According to Mr. Nosey, as soon as he steps out on his deck he sees the little red lights activate on the cameras.
I agree it serves no real purpose on a street that basically dead ends after getting about another 100 feet into the main street of the subdivision.?ÿ I mean it continues for another quarter of a mile, but you have to come back out on the same route you went in.?ÿ The only side streets are close to the job site.
This subdivision was approved in 1967.?ÿ Nearly all streets in that city in 1967 were straight or had straight streets with a 90 degree circular curve connecting to the next street.?ÿ I can think of one subdivision from about 1940 that had some curvy streets but it was laid out by military surveyors, I believe, to build a bunch of houses in a hurry for workers needed to support the pending build up to the entry of the US into WWII.
This might be a time to put legal length monuments deep and short ones over them, or maybe rebars in pipes, so the guy can think he's pulled them all without ruining your work.
Going to do my best to be in stealth mode.
Have the client call you when Nosey goes to the store.
California has very strict disclosure requirements, potential development would definitely be a required disclosure item. Maybe they did disclose and he had selective hearing.
sometimes the nosey neighbor knows where all the monuments in the neighborhood are located, that can save a lot of time.
Wild guess.?ÿ Perhaps the tension is heightened by the opposing political signs (you know the names) that appear in their yards.
"Neighbor" is a relative term sometimes.?ÿ A couple of days ago I was looking for a center of section and encountered the "neighbor" that owned the NE/4.?ÿ My business was in the SW/4.?ÿ I mentioned I didn't know there were any residences in the NE/4 and he told me there weren't.?ÿ His house was a mile and a half east and a half north.
He was just checking on possible deer hunters.?ÿ It's getting to be that time of year.?ÿ By now I've probably been filmed by trail-cams a dozen times relieving myself.?ÿ
Blood pressure medicine and coffee is a counter productive combination when working in the woods.
Must be in a metropolitan area.?ÿ In rural areas there is usually only one sign I see...
But I do keep 'both' ball caps in the truck for props.
@paden-cash - it is no where near as bad in the wood as it is in suburbia!?ÿ I look forward to working in the woods, not so much in residential areas anymore, just for that reason.
