FYI ~ Using a Ranger with TDS Survey Pro 3.8

Yes, I still double angles while traversing (and carry my elevations also). If I don't have the rod height set on the foresite BEFORE I double the angle, there seems to be an error in the elevation. The error would be the difference in the rod height prior to me changing the rod height and the correct rod height. (I hope that made sense) Has anyone else run into this?

I have ran into this years ago when we still doubled angles. Is there a setting to prompt the user to enter the rod ht. after the shot? I remember you could set it for after the shot. There may not be?!? I always thought it was faster and less room for error to enter the rod ht. after taking a shot, especially when doing a topo. I'm using TopSurv now, which is generic TDS, I guess and I know we have it set up for after the shot and after the description is entered.

Yes, you can set TDS to prompt for the rod height after the shot. I have both of my Rangers set up this way. I think it is under the job menu under settings.

Good luck
