Working in TBC, I just finished the adjustments on a network of 4 static control points. I have some kinematic and terrestrial data to process using these control points. Would it be correct to continue in the same project in TBC, importing the Trimble .dc file and working from there. If I do that, will it affect the adjustment on the static control? Or should I start a new project, import the coordinates for these adjusted control points and go from there? If I start a new project, I would have to import the GNSS files again to process the kinematic data, so that doesn't seem like it would be correct.

I think the workflow Trimble envisioned is to continue in the same project for all facets of that project, control, adjustment, topo, supplemental control, more topo, RTK, staking, etc.

It works well, but can be quirky and I'm not a huge fan of the TBC network adjustment, personally. I will use TBC to get my baselines and then go into Star*Net for the adjustment and then import the new control coordinates and go from there.

It would be great if it would hold the adjustment for the static control network, then allow you to adjust your kinematic and terrestrial data independently holding your adjusted control. Every move you make you have to tell it not to change your original adjustment.

I'd do the static adjustment in a separate project and export out LLh coordinates (and elev if it's worthy) with control quality into a new project, import terrestrial data and then adjust.

There may be a time in a project where the control data has to be locked down. But if you aren't to that point yet, combining the other data with it (using appropriate standard error estimates) should improve the control data.
