Has anyone found a way to use Survey Pro on a Ranger 7 or a TSC3 with the Hydrolite depth sounder by Seafloor Systems.

Will Hydrolite accept the bluetooth NMEA string and apply depth inside Hydrolite?

Wouldn't it be the other way around, i.e. the Hydrolite (black-box sonar) sends NMEA depth via BT to the Ranger 7 and hence to Survey Pro?

I don't think the Hydrolite is compatible with Survey Pro. I am able to get it to work with Topcon Magnet Field.

@antcrook

The connections and data format seem typical. Is this a Surveypro issue?

I am not familiar with Survey Pro, but I remember reading it somewhere on the Sonarmite website that it was not compatible.  It seems these days that most software vendors have added the option to add a peripheral device when using GPS.

@antcrook

I found out that it is not compatible.  It will output but not receive output from the Hydrolite.  Carlson is, and they run on it, but I can't get GSM to GSM for RTK using Survey Pro latest version on my machines.

Sea Floor Systems confirmed that it does not work with Survey Pro directly and recommended something like Trimble Access

Just an off topic FYI if anyone is thinking of purchasing a Seafloor boat, though named Seafloor, actually using it in salt water will require you to make upgrades to the sealant and other components for it to work properly/long term. Other than that, works great.
