fill in the blanks- kind of explains it...
that looks like it would be a great township to survey in, with all the original stuff. Did you ever determine the source of the extra 80'?... other than the land being "nearly level" ?

They show it short and it turns out to be long, who knows, maybe they reversed the notes. The guy did a great job though. Not very often have I found all 8 originals around a section, but there I did in 3 sections.
I had another section with that same 80 feet in another township. Everything was 2640, 2643, 5277, then 5330 when the plat shows 5250; I spent hours looking for that stone. Passed by it probably 20 times.
