Curious if anyone has any complaints about the subsurface ml3. I really like the fact that they are waterproof and USA made. I just bought a hound dog and I am not happy with it and sending it back to swap for another. Kinda hung between the Maggie, 52, and ml3.

I've had my Subsurface for about 8 years. I really like it!

In this world of change... Always run with your eyes open.
I teach my kids, don't favor Ford, Chevy, Dodge, toyota. Don't bind yourself by brands. Be a connioseur. Always reserve yourself to change, if you like. Sometimes Ford will have a better product, and sometimes Nissan.
Always feel unobligated.
For now, I'm a schonestedt owner. But show me something signifigantly better... No problem changing.
That's my philosophy.
N

I have had one for about 5 years and love it - but. The form factor is really great and the cloth case helps haul it to distant locations if you are carrying other gear too. Once you are use to the controls for sensitivity it works fine.

But - No volume control, you need to wait for the traffic to pass before you search a spot, or work in the woods. It does use those expensive 9V batteries but I can live with that. It is much easier to use than the other yellow brand due to the sleek form factor. I am actually very pleased with mine.

Volume control is to turn it on, then hold the power key down and let it cycle through the volume up and back down then up releasing the power button when the volume is where you want it.

I have a Sub Surface ML-1. I've had it for about 15 years. I really like it but my only complaint is that it seems to go through batteries rather quickly. Don't know if this is normal or if something is wrong.

Thanks!! T.W.

Yea, I went through that for several years myself. A friend of mine gave me the
Sub surface ml3 for that very reason. He couldn't hear period.
