This is a snip from a 1941 HWY RW plan.
RW was acquired following the original alignment (D=0^55") then the Alignment was projected left and parallel....
Here is a couple of shots of the plans- What is the distance left of the projection?
you'll notice the The Equa on the plans PT 1184+43.3 (BK)=POT 1187+10.2 AH on the plans....
Here's some pics of the equation marker I found in the field.....
The distance from the marker to the Station marker at 1190+00 is 297.8......any guesses an all this? 😉
The contractor set those giant concrete monuments, you must ignore them because it's a mystery how they got there. I think the contractor just did it as his hobby. I'm being a smart a** deliberately. 😉

After looking over the map along with (assuming your) measurement, it appears pretty obvious where the 2 errors are. However since you posted your question with a winking smiley face, I must presume you already believe you know the answer and aren't really asking for advice.
We'll it looks like the shift is supposed to be 50.00 feet left and parallel- fine- the stationing thing for the Equation marker panned out today when I got ahold of the construction as-builts. The stationing on the marker matched that stationing on the construction plans. I would surmise that the info was in the transit notes then put on the construction plans and later transfered to the RW plans and was transposed at that point.... I don't have access to the transit notes... I fear they've left Dodge in a contractor records shredder truck......
Godo jbo fo stroign tish tuo.
Wait, you found a ROW marker from 1941 that hasn't been run over!?? Nice job!:good:
