Does anyone know if SS 4.2 and AS 2.6 will run in Win7 (Pro).
I have both on my Vista laptop but am upgrading to Win 7.

I have AS 2.6 running in W7, but I think I needed to grant admin privileges to fillnet.exe to make it work.
Admin priveleges are required because Solutions automatically overwrites certain files in order to function. I had a hassle years ago when I worked in an office that upgraded to Win XP and wanted to restrict admin priveleges. Admin privileges are a separate issue from the OS.

What I'm talking about is changing the properties of "fillnet.exe" to allow the exe to "run as administrator." It was nothing to do with whether your user account is admin or standard.
Basically, if a program runs fine in Vista, it should run the same in Windows 7. Windows 7 is just a more refined Vista.

I did suspect if OK in Vista then 7 should work.
Proof will be in the coming week or so when it 'all happens'.
