Anyone know if Spectra TSC3 (or TRC7 w/ empower module) 2.4Ghz radio will communicate with a Topcon GPT-9000 series robot? If so, will it also control the RC3 unit??ÿ

Not my setup, but how it was explained to me at the local service shop was that the tsc3 would bluetooth to the rc3 and the rc3 will radio to the instrument. No 2.4 ghz radio necessary. But again, I'm not certain.?ÿ

Thanks for the reply O.IN.KY. The GPT 9000 SERIES Has a radio built in, the RC3 doesnƒ??t. In subsequent models Topcon relocated the radio from the instrument to the RC4, which is what I think youƒ??re referring to. I wish I had the RC4, as this would allow me to use most any Bluetooth data collector, but alas, I have the old stuff. But if the spectra successfully operates the RC4 which is just the same infrared and 2.4Ghz radio as previous models in a different location, seems logical that it would operate the later, but I am not in full understanding of 2.4ghz radio technical specifications. I assume one is the same as any other, but I have no concrete evidence of this.?ÿ
