We have 5 company data collectors, and my personal data collector, all running SP Survey Pro version 5.5.1, and one running version version 5.4.2 (my personal one).
I have read that in the newer versions on Survey Pro, the Dropbox feature has been dropped (discontinued) because of an incompatibility between Windows Handheld and Dropbox's updated interface. The release notes also mention that the feature will no longer work in older versions any more.
The strange thing is we have three units that still connect fine, and that is how we transfer files to and from the office on a daily basis. It works great. The other three units cannot log in and verify the account. One unit was logged into another account, and we have not really messed with it much. That crew mostly works out of another office, and will be back in that office in a few months.
The second unit is brand new, and we have only had it a month or maybe two, and have never had it connected.
My personal unit, was the one that was listed for sale here a few weeks ago. I have not been able to get it connected to Dropbox either.
Has anyone found a workaround? I would really like to use the Dropbox function if there is a workaround. I know there is the Spectra Sync, but that requires keeping the extended warranty up on all 6 data collectors, and frankly, I don't want to constantly deal with file incompatibility, bugs with each new upgrade, etc. It is a big enough pain that my 5.5.1 files are incompatible with my 5.4.2. That is just crazy, in my opinion.
