i miss my gamma goat.... I never had to worry about the paint job on that thing....

My father in law talks about them. Too 'spensive. Just get you a nice polaris, atv or something like that.

Well this is a bit much for a survey ATV.

You could consider downsizing to this.

I surveyed from a mule (bottom pic) my first few years. I got two foot lockers for firing tables, range maps and drafting supplies. They also carried an assortment of half pint bottles and jars of instant coffee. When I went to Korea I upgraded to a 13 ton APC. Unfortunately I could not compete with mamasan or the slicky boys on selection or price, but I digress...
The mule is an awesome survey rig. 4 wheel drive with articulated steering. If you get stuck just pick it up and move it over. Really wish I could get my hands on one..

Short online search provided "Mechanical Mules of America" rehab and sale of surplus mules. Interesting site with history and specifications of military mules.
