I was taught that if I reset any monument, I was to leave the monument at the location, as evidence of what happened.

I have one of those COE numbered markers in the back of my truck. Do the coords change, as I drive around?
Just wondering...
N
The Coordinates are dynamic
Nate, the coordinates are dynamic, they keep changing with every readjustment, but the boundary stays in the same place. The fine for removal is also dynamic, it is $250 in 1920 dollars, or the cost of replacement which ever is the least.

When we do the next mass import, I am going to try to add a link to the partial boundary plats as part of the description for each monument. The partial boundary plats are avaliable at this web site.

Shall I mail it to you?
Nate
Mail the cap to Steve...and the $250 fine to me...

(at a dollar a push-up, I'd bet I could wear all of your kids out. Remember that Mt. Mag. is high altitude come September)
Nate
It's in the mail!!!

There are 2 more lines that compete for the best lie, but I will not post them here becasue this is a family message board, and I do not want the wrath of Angel to fall upon me.
