Warren Smith gets credit for this quote in another thread:
"And there's not much else like a bovine opine, less'n it be a Cash flash."
And, here I thought Warren wasn't the kind to get tipsy and utter strange comments. What a thing to suggest to a new poster! Sorta puts Ol' Paden 'n' me on the spot to appear erudite, which could take some doin' for one of us, anyway.
Any erudition in my posts is purely coincidental and might actually just be a fata morgana of sorts...;)
It has been my experience, that some of the folks who APPEAR the dumbest, are actually the smartest in the bunch. They are simply portraying themselves as some sort of nin com poop, to keep others from seeking advice all the time. They do it as a time management strategy.
Case in point, I have a mechanical problem. I ask the person who seems to know. And, he is full of baloney. So, I ask the guy with it "working", and he simply takes a few words of the loud mouth lout, and says this is true, and that is true, but this was the piece he left out... and proceeds to fill it in. And, it works!
I really like those kind of people.

@Bill93 , made me look too! And not just for that. Some of them other big words wasn't in my fifth grade reader!
As a kid I had a full set of Encyclopedia Britannica in my bedroom closet. From time to time I would pick a letter, say L, pull out that book and spend an hour or two reading entry after entry. Did I forget to mention that a highlight out on the farm was countin' flies on the outhouse door? Nevertheless, my idle time was filled and I learned all sorts of odd information. I didn't realize how much of that would come in handy someday when I became a surveyor.
