It appears as if someone, more then likely someone at the bank, edited my FEMA certificate and sent it to the insurance company, who then sent it to FEMA, who rejected it because section A7 was not completed. Only problem is, when I looked at my copy of the certificate, it was filled in, with 1A.
I am waiting for the agent to send me a copy of what they have, that was sent to FEMA, and plan on calling FEMA, as soon as I get a look at it.
I want someone's head!
I made an exception, and used an ink stamp, trying to help out a client, and someone took advantage of it. Never again will I use an ink stamp, for anything.
might i suggest drawing & quatering
it's messier and will show the folks who alter our work that we mean business
no horses? motorcycles will substitute just fine.

Well since it is a federal form does that make it a federal offense? Ask FEMA and ask if they have investigative powers or refer investigations to another agency? This could get really interesting!
I try to understand the insurance biz but it is a little convoluted here. My FIL worked for Hartford for his whole life after the air force and college. I consulr=t with him on insurance stuff. I also carry hartford insurance.
I gues your client is the bank. They have some relationship to the insurnce company.
The insurance company is probaly not the underwriter. I don't see where FEMA gets involved in the process. I did 120 FCs for an entity and only the undrwriter got involved.
From experience, the insurance company should have caught any problem with check boxes before thay sent it to the underwriter. They would know that it would get flipped back to them so why send it.
So that leaves the client but for what reason?
It may be a grand conspiracy between all of them. :-O
Good luck..
but, it does sound like some bureaucrat of some group is screwing with you.
I wish that I was an anon poster here because I can tell some freakin horror stories of a department head that I have to deal with over here. They are only one of it's kind here. I imagine that I am dealing with a member of the politburo of the soviet union.
A lot of agencies are getting that mindset and a lot of businesses too.
did not mean to hijack your vent.
No worries about the hijack, but I am going to do my best to get to the bottom of this and yes, I do intend on talking with FEMA.
There should be a law !!!
