Looking at a used Sokkia Radian rtk base rover setup. Does not include office software. What software would you guys recommend, and could you give me an idea of the cost. Thanks

I think the best buy on the market is Ashtech's GNSS Solutions. Probably won't be around for long as it will likely be replaced by Spectra Precision's Survey Office (which is rebranded Trimble Business Center). You can get Solutions and a dual frequency dongle for less than a grand. You'd probably need to convert to Rinex and would need to get some software to do that. Most companies offer that for free. Since Topcon recently acquired Sokkia, they probably have a new utility (such as Toplink) that could handle that end for you. What data collection are you going to be running?

I'm running non-Ashtech GPS hardware with Carlson and post-processing in Solutions. I wrote a little utility that takes the RW5 file and makes it possible to run a RINEX file collected at the same time as a stop and go file to verify by post process RTK shots from the field. Works pretty well. But even if you are just wanting to do static post processing (not concerned about post processing RTK shots), GNSS Solutions works well and won't break the bank.

Sokkia 'Planning' software is free (currently v4.21 I think) and can convert from Sokkia pdc files to Rinex, download/upload receiver log files and Powerup configurations + display Almanac data etc.

I'm not familiar with the Radian receivers, do they output pdc files as the GSR series do?

Free demo versions of 'Topcon Tools' used to work just fine for single point post processing.
