So What Is Up With the Latest GPS Satellite ?

It was reported as completing all tests and was to be turned on for public use as I reported two weeks ago.

But no USABINIT has been sent in 2 weeks.

Meanwhile at the end of September Russia will launch a GLONASS M satellite and at the end of October they will launch 3 GLONASS Ks.

Also at the end of October 2 Galileo satellites will be put in orbit.

Rare double launch on Thursday.

Sept. 8 Delta 2 • GRAIL
Launch times: 1237:06 and 1316:12 GMT (8:37:06 and 9:16:12 a.m. EDT)
Launch site: SLC-17B, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida

The United Launch Alliance Delta 2 rocket will launch the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) mission for NASA. The rocket will fly in the 7920-Heavy configuration. GRAIL includes two spacecraft in lunar orbit to study the moon's interior and thermal evolution. The project is managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. [June 24]
