As a City Surveyor we utilize the "Dig Safe" alert to check for monuments for our inhouse Public works maintenance projects.?ÿ Works real well, we do a quick search of the records of the area within the "dig Safe" markings and a field check of the area prior to the crews going to work.?ÿ We tie out any monument?ÿ to be destroyed or mark anything questionable with pink paint then the crews call if they can not work around it.?ÿ We preserve about 100-150 mons a year on average utilizing this procedure.?ÿ Jp
