I usually wear the same clothes as any other day. I usually have an orange hat on most the year around unless I am out in the open and then I wear a wide brim straw hat.
One thing I can remember when we had to chain and at break points by calling out chain, plumb, good, mark was that we made enough noise to alert most anyone.
Having made notice and permission to be where we are helps very much.
Correction: MOST hunters are not idiots. MOST people are good drivers, too.

There are always a few dipwads out there. We can only hope to thin them out by a few every year, without losing those who don't do really stupid stuff like shooting at sound or movement. I actually ran into one who admitted doing so and quite vociferously called him an IDIOT, loud enough for anyone in 50 feet to hear and understand.
