I hate the multiple forums here. I'm pretty sure my post about drinking was not appropriate for Surveying and Geomatics, but in my opinion, Surveying and Geomatics is the main thread on this forum that most people read and the most worthy of being the follow up of the original RPLS.com, from the pre-sellout Mark Deal days. After all that, I just have to say that this post on RIP needs to be front and center here.

Ryan was something else. Not just a surveyor, but a witty guy and a family man. Actually, I'd rate him as a father and family man before surveyor. I've been fortunate to be friends with him on Facebook for many years. In my opinion, he was a true and honorable family man and surveyor.
Me too, Andy. I just scrolled through the comments he and I have shared over the years on fb. Such a terrible loss.

Losing someone so young and creative is a great shock.
I am thankful that he shared his thoughts here and his presence will be greatly missed.
