Rowguh Shot....needs some rouge on it

Sokkia Set 2. 10 meter problem. A couple of times through the years. When a shot of roughly 25 feet comes back as nearly 60 feet you know that can't possibly be the correct number.

This reminds me of an error our school board clerk had in the rough minutes for last month's School Board meeting. Her notes indicated that we had paid bills totaling to $51,123,456. Subtract $50 million and you get the correct total. Old timers here may remember Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois and the following tidbit from Wikipedia, "He is often remembered for the quip attributed to him: "A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon, you're talking real money." Although there is no direct record of the remark, he is believed to have made it during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson."

Older edm's did have a problem sometimes when a distance was near xx0.000 or xx9.9xx. It would get the wrong integer number of 10 m distances, similar to gps getting the wrong integers, but in the gps case it is off by 19 cm. Also similar to reading the wrong foot on a level rod when it was x.99 or something. I chased a few 1 foot busts around in the days before digital levels. Also reran a long linear traverse because of a 10 m bust back in the early 80's.
