Its been my general experience the more focused on the price of my services the bigger a PIA they usually turn out to be. Something to do with the 20/80 rule I guess.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

I need a tree cut down, find out it will cost $1,000, and decide whether I can afford to cut down that tree right now. Also, I might get several estimates so I know someone isn't just trying to rip me off, since I don't know what all it takes to take out a tree. Yes, tree-extracting experts might say that I'm "one of those guys", but at least I'm not paying $10,000 for a $1,000 job.
