Pennsylvania. 2023. Real estate agent calls at 11 am on a Tuesday. Can you have a surveyor out today, the property closes on Friday? We need a 40 x 100 lot staked and a metes & bounds description of the lot. He laughs uncomfortably. I laugh and say it's our busiest time of year that would be tough but we probably could accommodate the request in the next 24 - 48 hours if provided all the info we need.
THEN after providing a price quote within an hour the agent emails a reply "It's for an Estate, any way you can bring down the cost?"
I responded with "Can you tell me how much you're discounting your commission since it's an estate?" Authorization was sent over immediately.
I will call you out on your BS in the most diplomatic way.
