It's calculations. My question is how do you anchor your calculations to a point on the ground? Old surveys don't have any geographical information to tie them to any Datum. Picking a section corner off a georeferenced quad is the only way to I know of to get close to a survey. Not real precise. You find the section corner calibrate to it an voila you're within afoot of the old surveys datum.?ÿ

How does a LDP do that?
