Hi guys!

?ÿ

I recently acquired an archaic set of legacy-E receiver pair, which i would like to put to good RTK use. I need informed advice based on experience on the types of radios i can use for the data link. From what i have gathered, Pacific crest PDL and RFM96 models are compatible, but what of Satel models of Sateline, and such like modems?

You can use the Pac Crest Advantage Pro radios with this receiver.?ÿ A PDL is not capable of being set to work with settings that are in compliance with current FCC requirement.?ÿ The receiver does not care about those settings, and will broadcast/receive what it is given.

But that does bring on the question of what you intend to use for a controller.?ÿ If you have a base radio and a compatible rover radio, and set the controller radio settings to something such as "generic serial" then the radios will do their thing with the correction data being handed off to broadcast.

@jerrys

You know what? You are absolutely right. My limitations lie in the controller because the equipment set included a Topcon Ranger N687 field data collector. I got nervous after inspecting the controller upon realizing that it only had a couple of preset radio profiles with only Pac crest PDL and RFM96 as external radio options.

Thanks for the eyeopener, i will explore my options with both the controller and radios as variables.
