Greetings,

I have converted data from a Promark 3 with Magellan NAP100 antenna to Rinex for import into Trimble TGO.

I have run the Trimble update utility, but do not see an exact type for the NAP100 listed when importing Rinex data.

Is there a Receiver/Antenna type natively in TGO or do I need to define one?

Thanks in adavance,

Matt

Beats me Matthew...

According to this Ashtech "tech sheet"

ftp://ftp.ashtech.com/Land%20Survey/ProMark%203/Hardware/NAP100_DS(A4en)19Sept07.pdf

The NAP10 is "NGS Certified/Calibrated" but I can't seem to find it on the NGS Antenna Calibration Page.

http://geodesy.noaa.gov/ANTCAL/

It's apparently an L1 only antenna, and "maybe" you could "get by" with the ARP/L1PC data in the above link (I don't think that I would chance it myself).

Even IF you do find the NGS Relative/Absolute Calibration data, you will still NEED to reconfigure TGO to use the NGS calibration data for ALL antennas, NOT JUST the NAP10.

Good luck,
Loyal

If you want to define one in TGO -- which I think you'll have to do -- instructions for doing so can be found on Peter Lazio's site. Be sure to pay attention to the details!

If it were me, I'd start with the published Magellan offsets and then run test observations (as Peter did) on a known point to verify that the phase center offsets were correctly set up in TGO.

Try the following link:

http://www.trimble.com/trimbleconfiguration_ts.asp?Nav=Collection-10092

When updating my office's Trimble Geomatics Office, there was a million and one downloads and not always the easiest to search for on their site. Then we got Trimble Business Center, a lot easier to identify the updates(they have an option at the start up).
