Hi all, just picked up a used nikon DTM 520 and I cant figure out how to turn off a feature. The laser is constantly on so that when you sight a prism it will beep and show the signal strength. As opposed to doing nothing till I hit the measure "msr" button. This really kills the battery and id love to turn it off. My old one I turned this off but I cannot figure out how for the life of me. (was over 20 years ago lol) I read through the complete manual and if its in there I didn't see it. I've tried long pressing every button possible to bring up any long press menus it might be hiding in.. Thanks for reading
It might be that you have the LUMI GUIDE on and that is what needs to be turned off. I'm speculating it might not be the laser that you measure with but this LUMI GUIDE that would help with the pointing or stakeout.
