I just downloaded and installed topcon firmware 4.0p1 for my gr3s. Released early April, havent tested it yet but will tomorrow. My units are already staying fixed 90% of the time. Hopefully it will be even better.

I found 4.0 to be sluggish and the point repeatability poor, so I rolled back to 3.6p1 which was very stable. I've been running 4.0p1 since it was release and seems to be performing as well, if not better than 3.6p1.

It don't look like there will be anymore firmware for the hiper lites.
Last was 3.5p1 I think, in 2011.
