In 2 recent surveys when processing baselines using a single CORS data (RICM) then it appears to have corrupted in the first survey 1 point and in the example give below 3 points.
In the example below RICM is east of the survey site about 12Km. If I reprocess the data using a different site 40Km to the north, then this corruption did not happen in both cases.
It appears that the CORS RICM Rinex data is the culprit, but there was no real indication of any problems when view graphically.
One sat G21 lost L2 lock around that time but this was an L1 only survey. In addition there was loads of other sats giving high quality data.
Is this a relatively common problem?
Other than using alternative CORS is there anything else that can be done?
See both images below:
Thanks
Stephen
Where are you located? I couldn't find the CORS station by the site ID you posted.
I would be happy to look at your data. I am not an expert but sometimes two eyes...
Email in the profile is good.
Never Had That Happen
Send me your occupation files and links to the Base Station Data Sites.
I'll give it a try.
email is in my profile.

I don't know what equipment you are using
My preference is to use a known station (like your RICM CORS site) and get a position on two points for control that is between 3 to 5 miles from my job and that are 3 to 5 miles apart and to make an equilateral triangle with my job points as the third
Double redundancy is a good thing.

Sorry for the late reply just got home from a few days away.
Thanks for your suggestion and normally I would do just that, but unfortunately the kit we are using is not a base station plus a rover as our archaeology group could not afford that, so we just have a rover. We always collect static data for between 15 and 30 minutes primarily to use as a reinitialisation site if required.
We have found, presumably because we are not collecting simultaneous base station data, that if we use 2 or 3 COR station data the accuracy goes down. This may be because the next nearest stations available are 2 to 3 times further away than RICM in conjunction with the lack of simutaneous base data.

Jerry,
Sorry for the delay in replying I went away for a few days.
No RICM is a UK base station available on OS-NET but unfortunately here you need a license to use it via the cell phone network which our archaeology group cannot afford.
If you go to http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/gps/os-net-rinex-data/
and enter 399000 503000 in the top box and say 5 in the next box and use a previous date in the next box then click Display you will see a map and below it free manual download of the CORS data.

Howdy,
Have you considered processing your data using one of the many free on-line tools? You indicate you log static data. For links and details for sites I've used see: http://geodesyattamucc.pbworks.com/w/page/13931102/FrontPage#Lab5AutomatedGPSProcessingToolsbeyondOPUSdue27March2013nbsp
You will not be able to use OPUS-RS as it is limited to the US. The other tools work worldwide.
You will need to convert files to RINEX. There is a link to teqc in the link above.
Good luck,
DMM
