A couple of decades or so ago there was a public television documentary that was entitled "Measuring the World," (I think) which covered the survey of the great line of India by the British Royal Surveyor Sir George Everest. I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help? Thank you!:-)

The book about it (or at least one of them) was called "the great arc". Never saw the TV programme though.
