I have an unusual Elevation Certificate. The limit of the detailed study from the FIRM passes right through the middle of the house. The south 1/2 of the house is in Zone AE with a BFE at the last profile of 555.0'. The north 1/2 of the house is in Zone A with no BFE available. The house is only 45' long. The lowest adjacent grade will be at the southwest house (BFE of 555.0).

I can address it all in the comments section; but, I was just wondering if anyone has done one similar to this one?

How do you think the insurance company will rate his policy? I'm betting he gets the rate for an unnumbered A zone.

P.S. I located the house on the FIRM by shooting the nearest 3 street intersections and plotting them on the map in an autocad drawing.

You really need to read the November 2007 FEMA mitigation policy letter titled "use of digital flood hazard data". If the map has grid ticks FEMA policy you prohibits the use of streets, section lines or other improvements to align the map.
email me at [email protected] and I will send you the document.

friendly tip, disguise your email address or use a throwaway when posting it on a public forum. You are really asking for tons of spam email otherwise.
