Hi
New to the site and first time posting from Ireland.
Not as experienced as the good people of the forum so
Please stay with me.
I work as a Site Engineer for a small construction firm.
The equipment that we have is starting to get dated.
At present we have a number of Leica 407 power's and
a Leica GPS RX900 Base and Rover
The crown jewel of the fleet is a Leica Robotic 1205 with
a viva controller.
I have to say that I love my 407 and the Robotic is a dream to
Use.
Not as much a fan of the GPS RX900.
Have found it to be problematic.
Not as user friendly for juniors and will let you down
when you need it most.
I should have said that most of the time, these instruments
are used for Setting out with small bits of site related surveys.
I get charged with doing our independent topographical survey when we
Take possession of new sites.
This would have been done with the 407 as a two man team and plotted out
By joining the dots on a DXF file in CAD.
Now I use the robotic and have a survey package for plotting
that I am still learning.
We now need to start to relate surveys to Irish National Grid
and Ordnance Survey GB.
I would still like to use it for setting out Roads / Foundation and
Some Drainage that don't need the same accuracy for. .
Does anyone have experience of the GS15.
Would this be a good cost effective option.
Regards
Stpats
