Don is to be commended! And it sounds like he had superior evidence and it is good that the case was won on merit.
However, I can also see where confusion could have occurred. Below is a piece of the 1943 quad sheet that does not show Don's road, but clearly shows the other. I'm not attempting to offer any opinion here - just showing the conflict.
