Is there anyone on this board familar with connecting this unit with the old Ashtech z-12 gps units?
I would love to get a person / telephone number that knows about this.
Thanks in advance.
John
I have an Intuicom RTK bridge. The way we use it is that it looks just like a standard RTK base radio transmitting corrections from a nearby point. The GPS unit (Trimble R8) receives the corrections, it does not know it is not a nearby base station. This is in contrast to VRS, where the receiver receives the corrections over an IP connection, and stores the baselines as if from the nearest CORS.
You just need to configure the bridge to transmit in a format (and baud, etc) that your rover radio (external or onboard) can recognize. In my case, it is trimtalk. It can also look like a paccrest radio or satel radio.
