I currently have a suunto, KB-14 0-360, declinated, with both foreward, and reverse numbers.
However, it now has a bubble in it, and so it takes a bit to really settle down.
What would you buy?
I was sort of looking at a QUADRANT model, with declination. Most stuff here does not use azimuth.

There's a free app for that.
I find some of the compass apps quite good.
However, the Suunto's are repairable at modest costs.
But the quadrant ones are better for surveyors.
OK,
I'll bite. What are the best Android Compass Apps?

I went with an android app and am very pleased.
Download a few and pick the one you like best, they work according to the ability of your phone.

Nate,
Forestry Suppliers can repair them for a reasonable fee.

Thanks!

I like that idea. Buy a new one, and then send the old one in for re-pair!
What would I buy?
Suunto KB20... the yellow one. Yes, its plastic (and therefore lighter!) and you can buy two of these for the price on one KB14 and then when you lose one or break one, it hurts only half as much. 🙂 I've been using them since... well, forever and I'm probably on my 5th one. The do last a long time but most of them get lost. I only wore out one...it just started sticking one day so I tossed it. And I switch the lanyard around so the plate viewer you look at doesn't collect dirt and twigs.
