L5 Is Ten Years Away
Way too much technology for the average professional to keep up with. You either keep up with the business side, the field side or the CAD side, you can't do all three.
We all are being reduced to specialists. Being the old timer that I am it wouldn't break my heart to see some of this technology fall on it's face so we could get back to the nuts and bolts of surveying.
When someone says "how do we do a survey without GPS" I start to wonder where the profession is heading. In a few more years most people will think GIS/CAD is surveying. 🙁
