I have an alignment in Civil3D that I've exported to a Trimble RXL file using Trimble Link. Everything looks fine, but the station equation didn't come over. No problem, I open the RXL in TBC and put in the station equation in the Alignment Editor. Now how do I save it? I don't see a Save option and the only Export options seem to require me to create a corridor. I don't need (or particularly want) a corridor, I just want to save the change to my alignment.

One would think that an "Alignment Editor" would offer the option to "Save Changes"... just sayin'

I managed to get my RXL fixed by loading it into Access and editing it in Roads, but you definitely shouldn't have to go through all of that.

I would reach out to Boris at Trimble and point that out, it may save some of the rest of us the headaches you just went through.

The corridor export is an RXL file.
Just select your horizontal alignment, leave the rest blank and export.

Not sure if it works, but did you try selecting the alignment only in the project explorer then exporting as a LandXML file?

After you make the changes on the station equation you can just close the edit window and it automatically saves it. I just export using the "Corridor" tab on Export. Then choose "RXL road exporter from surface". I usually leave the surface blank and fill out the other information as necessary. I usually arrow down on the Settings button to review what station interval I want to use. It is listed as "Horizontal alignment st" change it to whatever stationing you want. You can not use a distance that is more than half your over all distance or it will give you an error. Then I just hit Export. All this info is if you don't have a DC hooked up at the time. If you do have one hooked up just bring up "Devices:Direct Connection" and hit the small export button and it will bring up "RXL road exporter from surface" and follow the rest of the instructions. Hope this helps.
