Hi,
I found this forum after the recent [msg=94125]1 billion seconds issues[/msg] with Trimble's TGO. Thank God there are people who [msg=101542]managed[/msg] to [msg=126232]help[/msg] the community, for which I am very grateful. Yes, the way this issue was handled by Trimble is a disgrace and I'll take last chance to point this out but this post is about something else...
It's about GPSTk project I found when I started to look for alternatives of TGO. Our main tasks are: calculating baselines and doing adjustments. Note, I am not a land surveyor so it's a little bit hard for me to learn if this project has what it takes to do the job but I tried. I installed it, I used RINEX files for input and I managed to get results which look good on google maps. I know, it's very low precision but I just wanted to know if I can get it to crunch some of our data and get decent results. It seems it's working but It's not easy for me to check it more precisely so before I dive into it I came back here to find out if anyone has any experience with this package. I searched but there are no posts about it so here we go - is anyone using it? how are the results? what is your experience?
Thanks!
simon
