Thanks to Jeff Opperman, I'm the proud owner of a Kern NK3 (even has the tool kit) and a Wild hard case. The Wild case will be used with a government surplus T2 that I picked up a few weeks back. I'll post pictures in a few days when I have a chance to get them both outside on tripods.

You can use the photo someone posted the other day which shows how to mount a Leica Disto on the T2 so you have a total station.
