There a few good topo map layers but this is the one I use now:Google Earth Topo Maps
I use this layer for Google earth more than any other: Earthpoint Townships

I can definitely see where that would be handy if you were out there in gridland.

I reside & work in VA.
The only reason I post anonymously is that my employer has some oddly stringent restrictions on public forum participation.
