New to GNSS Solutions and haveing problems using Ephemeris data. It appears that the internet connection fails to retrieve any data.
I have imaged the 2 sources in Solutions. Is the set up wrong?
Thanks
Stephen
Could the issue be with France?????
Obviously it could be but I can't get any info from the US site either.
I have looked on the internet to try and find how to set up other sources but can't find any info that looks to relate to setting a source up in processing software.

Have you tried to manually down the IGS/NGS Precise Ephemeris, path the SW to this local folder/Desktop on your PC? It could be the www internet link/path inside the SW is incorrect, or the ftp link has changed.
-BbB, B-)
Can you let me know of a url I can use to do that please?
Otherwise I am reliant on a GNSS Solutions user advising me on the settings they use.
Cheers
Stephen
Default is "Precise SP3"
igs*****.SP3 is the Precise Orbit.
If igs is not available it looks for the igr or Rapid Orbit.
If igr is not available it looks for igu or Ultra-Rapid orbit.
The ephemeris are applicable worldwide so your source can be almost anywhere.
Since I still sometimes use Ashtech Solutions I then have to manually look for orbit data.
I first look at IGS DataProjects.
http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/components/prods_cb.html
I can get Ultra-Rapid, Rapid or Precise which is found by opening a Week Folder (i.e. 1753 etc.). 1753 is the GPS week number, followed by 0-7, 0 is Sunday, 6 is Saturday, 7 is the whole week.
Ashtech Solutions does not like the changes made a fews ago to the igr or igs .SP3 files and refuses to use them. That means I grab igu*****_18.sp3. The ultra rapid 18 file contains the rapid for the first 18 hours and predicted for the last 6. Ultra Rapid orbits are available 4 times a day for zero, 06, 12 and 18. The Rapid is available about noon UTC the next day. The Precise about 2 weeks later.
If I am getting data from NGS the orbits are available in the daily CORS RINEX ftp folders.
ftp://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cors/rinex/
This is by Year and GPS day number. Look for igr, igs or igu in the middle of the list.
A GPS calendar should include GPS day and GPS week numbers.
Paul in PA
Default is "Precise SP3"
Thanks Paul I will try that now.

Default is "Precise SP3"
Paul in PA's information lead me to a page that had the set up details for downloading the data. I immediately noticed that the default settings in GNSS Solutions for both the US and French emphemeris sites has a http// url instead of a ftp url.
I just changed the url to ftp: and the US site works now, so I guess the French will to when I check it out.
Thanks to all responders.
