Okay, this isn't exactly late-breaking news, but you do realize that the non-native people who settled in Oklahoma were just the folks who couldn't make it in Alabama or Tennessee for some reason, right? It's not as if marrying a cousin is a big deal there, either. Once you've decided to move to Oklahoma, what does telling lies to an impressionable child amount to as an additional offense? Nothing, really? They probably told you they came from "Texas" because it sounded classy.
